I just wanted to let you know that I purchased the Karite Gold - Eczema Treatment Formula for my 2YO daughter and I can’t believe the transformation! She has a severe case and it’s controlled with prescription steroid creams. However, I only use them sparingly as needed cause 1) it leaves her skin extremely dry & rough and 2) there are risks for long term use of steroid creams. I’ve never found a product that could be used on a daily basis that would help her until now. After 1 application, her little flare-ups disappeared! I couldn’t believe it! I'm hoping I love them too, because I love your products so much. Here in Alaska we tend to be very dry as there is little moisture in the air, even in summer time. Without Shea Butter, I'd be a dried up old prune.

Many thanks. I can already tell you how amazing your product is. I have purchased it for my cousin who has severe psoriasis and it the only thing that has given her any form of relief. She was given a tub from someone who had been to the states and tried to get more when hers finished. We live in Kuwait and it isn't available here. I tried ordering through your website for delivery to a US mailbox that forwards direct to Kuwait but for some reason the order was refused. Perhaps because I was using my Kuwaiti credit card for payment??? Anyhow, a friend was coming to the states and offered to bring it back for me so I ordered 3 tubs to be delivered to her address and paid with my UK card. I've been using it for a couple weeks now and I love it! First of all, I'm a lip balm addict. We recently moved from the Midwest to San Diego and I have spent most of the Summer outside in the sun, wind and salt water. This is my second order of products. I absolutely love the chap stick! (I love the vanilla and my son loves the mint). My 6 year old son has had chronic dry lips ever since he had an accident which scarred them and they have been dry and icky looking for over 2 years. People would ask me if I ever put chap stick on him, or what was wrong with his lips, like I neglected them or something. It made me feel like an awful mom because little did they know, I had been putting chap stick/Vaseline,carmex, you name it on his lips morning and night, and they never got better. But I was trying! I used your products for one week and his lips are smooth and SO much better! He just started kindergarten and I wanted them better before he went to school and kids would make fun of his lips. His lips are normal now and the scar tissue from the wound is even smaller and softer. They look perfectly normal now! We still use it, but this is not like Carmex, where if you skip a night, his lips wake up awful. His lips have relearned to create their own moisture, I think!
I also use the Shea Butter on my kids for eczema patches on their skin and it smells nice and works well for them. It is nice to know I am putting something natural on their skin. I also use it on my fine lines around my eyes. they look better after I do that for a while. I also use it on my stretch marks and on my son's scar on his nose and it makes it look softer/lighter somehow. I will be a permanent customer of yours! Thank you!

I've been using your lip balms in Natural Cherry for well over two years now and I can't sing their praises high enough. I grew up in the south, spent my entire life in southern Georgia actually, so needless to say my skin never experienced any sort of extreme temperatures. Wow - I was amazed - and thrilled - that my package arrived today!
I love the lip balms I ordered, and the Shea Butter for Aging Skin (the scent of that one is heavenly to me - and I will be reordering that one from you forever) - but; the Sandalwood and Lavender scent I do not like. Do you think I could return this one and pay the difference and order another scent? The 4 oz Shea Butter with Lavender, Grapefruit and Vanilla may help with my acne and redness problems on my face, and I believe I would love this scent. I wanted to like the one with the Sandalwood because I thought it would help me with my insomnia - but I just can't take the fragrance. I think the Aging Skin formula will help me with the insomnia anyway because it is so relaxing to me - I love it.
Also, I read in one of your many wonderful testimonials that we can purchase the retailer sampler even if we are not a retailer, is that true? [[In case others have this same question, the answer is yes, Nichole]] That would be great! If I could order the sampler later on - it would solve a whole host of guessing questions, and we could be more careful in the future as to which ones we purchase so there wouldn't be a need for returns.
Other than this one jar I am extremely happy with the products so far and I know I will be ordering from you many more times in the future.

I am a complete convert to your products. I was having a terrible lip problem (dryness/redness/inflammation) and was using vaseline based products - also went to the dermatologist, who made it worse. I was searching the internet and happened across your description of vaseline based lip products versus shea butter and decided to try it out. It took about a week or so, but basically my lips have completely healed and vaseline has not touched my lips for over a year - I use any of your shea butter products in conjunction with essential oils from Natty Products (another completely natural skin care line I found on the internet). I've noticed a lot of women my age (late 40s) have splotchy lips and I think what happens is the skin starts to lose moisture/hydration - but vaseline based products don't help because they don't really hydrate, as your site says, it's just a protectant.
Sorry to ramble on so long but I hope other people will discover this because I was truly miserable for about 6 months last summer (and looked like a freak with my inflammed red lips!) until I discovered these natural skin care products with high concentrations of shea butter, unlike most over the counter products that claim to have shea butter but it's really about .0002 percent as opposed to 36% in your products.

First let me say thanks very much for the excellent service! I certainly appreciate how my package was sent, I had no delays at customs and no extra fees, thank you, thank you! The contents arrived in the extact condition sent, perfect.
Now the product itself. I was hoping that this would be the product that my ezcema would respond to and just clear up. (I do suffer greatly with this, at points it can be anywhere, even the eyelids). I've tried countless creams of which none seem to relieve the symptoms. The shea butter didn't work quite as a "miracle" but I do find it helpful. I like the feel just as a moisturizer on it's own, it doesn't exacerbate my condition as many other products have and it is really most helpful around the eye area. I will continue to use it as most of the time it does keeps the symptoms at bay as well as keeping the itch tolerable and my skin soft. I am very hopeful that use over time will bring more improvement.

I have to say, I am really enjoying the lip balms. I purchased the coconut and mint flavors and really enjoy the cooling sensation of the mint and the richness of the coconut. I received my shipment of shea butter a couple of weeks ago and have been using it since then. I like the results I am getting on my skin (I even use it on my face) and I was happy to get an extra bonus of having it be wonderful for my nails. I have been having a chronic dry lip problem for weeks now, and have tried a few different products. But, a lot of them have petroleum in them, which I know doesn't really help. Hey there, I just want to tell you how ecstatic I am about your karite gold for perioral dermatitis product. I realized about a month and a half ago that what I have on my face is not acne, but perioral dermatitis. Everything I found online suggested going to the dermatologist for internal pills and prescription creams, all treatments that may take up to six months to clear up. I highly recommend this product to anyone with skin problems. I tried the excema formula and saw an improvement in just a couple days. After a week or so, I could see the start of new healthy skin appearing within the worst of my excema patches (which are about the size of a quarter). I also found that when I have a new breakout, if I apply the butter right away and massage it in well, the beginnings of a possible nasty patch totally dissappears (for me within about 24 hours). Nothing I have tried before has ever been this effective for me. Anyone with excema knows what I'm talking about when I say it's such a sinking feeling to see a flareup begin and feel like you have no control no matter what you apply. For me, this product has worked amazingly well, I'd say my condition has improved by fifty percent. I've been using it for a couple months now.
I have found that it's important to use the formula regularly and not allow the area to dry out, and for me it makes a HUGE difference to take the time to massage it into the skin well, but it's been time well spent.
The Patchouli in the excema formula does have a strong smell, but the resulting skin improvement makes it worth getting use to...don't change a thing please!
I have also tried other karite products and have been satisfied with all of them.

I should have emailed you before. This is a reorder. I love the lip balm and will try other products soon. I have used the petroleum based products for lips, since they were everywhere, all my life and noticed as I got older they were not as affective any more. And that was last summer when it is moist and humid! I couldn't imagine what would happen in the dry winter even with a humidifier.

The other natural balms out there are too slick or oily feeling for me and they rub off way too fast--Karite balm is perfect--thick enough to stay on your lips but not waxy and heavy like Chap-Stick!
After being so impressed with the Lip Balm--I ordered the Karite Gold Acne Formula Shea Butter--Since having my baby 2 1/2 years ago, my skin has just baffled me! A liquid in a bottle would be wonderful--apply directly to the scalp! I would buy a whole case of that!

I have used your product before and at that time I was fighting dry skin on the bottom of my feet and hands. Since that time I have discovered that I have psoarasis on the soles of my feet and the palms of my hands.

It has been about a month and a half since I began using Karite Gold's tube of natural shea butter lip balm. My lips are far better than they used to be. Before, my lips were severely dry and chapped. I would use other lip products several times a day to relieve the discomfort. I would apply a very thick coat too. They only made the problem worse. If I failed to reapply before going to bed, my lips would crack and bleed all over in the morning. The corners were the worst. I couldn't open my mouth much to eat, laugh, smile, or talk properly should the corners bleed again. As you can imagine, it was terrible.
When I began using your product, I had to reapply it several times in the beginning because my lips were in such bad shape. However, I soon began to notice a gradual, overall improvement. I needed to use it less and less as the days went by. Now, my lips are pretty much back to normal, and I use your lip balm once a day applying only one very thin coat. Winter just began here so I figure by spring my lips will be totally fine.

I just thought I would let you know how wrapped I am with the Shea Butter. I have had perioral dermatitis for over two years now and I have tried many lotions and potions switching make-up and visiting a number of dermatologists. I was just about to go on a course of antibiotics (which I detest) when your Shea butter arrived and I thought I would hold off and try the butter out for a couple of weeks. After one week , I noticed a considerable change the bumps on my face were not as red and inflamed and also the bumps were getting smaller and less noticeable, even my daughters were commenting (Ages 5 & 9). I have been using the black soap on my face for a few weeks now. I can get a very close shave even with a well-used disposable razor with that soap. I have been washing especially on my nose which can get red on occasion. That seems to be diminishing as well. I have recommending the product to friends and family. I just order some pure shea butter from you as well.
The one thing I have noticed about several shea butter sites is that they all seem to claim that their shea butter is better than somebody else's. It reminds me of the Bush-Kerry race for president. I would not emphasize to people that refined shea butter won't do anything for a person. I would emphasize what your product, which is great, will do for somebody.
I do have a question, though. If shea butter comes out white and buttery in the process why is the soap black?

As in the testimonials, I've used other more refined brands and liked them but the texture of your product is especially smooth. I like having the pure unrefined bulk butter so that I can add my own essential oils or use it as is. I have been using your products for a few years now (that’s why I keep coming back)! I started out with the Original Karite gold, and found it gritty compared to the scented (more blended) versions. The texture makes these glide on my skin much, much easier and they also seem to soften quicker for ease of application. I adore the scents and was wondering if in the future you would try a simple bergamot scent or a ginger (two of my personal favorites) . I love the smoothness of the lip balms and have also tried the black soap.

this is my 3rd or 4th jar of natural shea butter. I keep buying it because it's the only thing I've found that keeps my feet soft. Before finding you, I did try a more processed blend of shea butter from another company, but didn't see that it did much good. I first heard of shea butter when I attended a continuing education workshop on aromatherapy (I'm a registered massage therapist). The workshop facilitator recommended shea butter as a vehicle for essential oils. She said that unlike grapeseed or other oils which are typically used in aromatherapy, shea butter wouldn't stain sheets. I am still experimenting with blending the natural shea butter with other oils or lotions to make it "spreadable" enough for use in massage - or for that matter, on my face - but for my feet, I'm sold. I found your company by sifting through lots of web sites that advertised shea butter. I liked your site best because it was the most informative & personal, and because it referenced the magic of natural healing. And then, of course, once I tried your unrefined version, I was hooked. I'm going to send my mom a jar for Mother's Day.

As promised, I am writing to let you know, how I got on with your wonderful lip balm. Firstly, I must congratulate you on the speed with which your package was delivered. Having received your e-mail on the Monday, informing me that you had despatched the package via priority mail, it arrived on my door-step the following Friday morning! Considering it came all the way from the USA, I think the delivery time was absolutely first class! Please believe me when I say this country has got a lot of catching up to do to compete with the service you provide!
As soon as I took delivery, the package was opened and the lip balm used immediately. I could feel the soothing relief on my poor chapped lips straight away and by the end of that day, my lips were feeling so much more moisturised and comfortable. One week later and they are totally back to normal and I only need apply the balm morning and evening to keep them soft and smooth. Aaah, what a relief! My daughter frequently suffers from dryness and soreness in the corners of her mouth, so she grabbed a stick of lip balm and I haven't seen it since! She loves it too! Her mouth has completely healed. I have also passed one on to my Mother who also suffers from very dry lips and it is a standing joke in the family that she is the Lip Salve Queen! Every time one of us sees her reaching for her handbag someone will comment, "Uh oh, here comes a lippy moment!!" Since using her Karite Lip Balm, those lippy moments have all but stopped!
You must, by now, have gathered that I am highly delighted with your Karite Lip Balm and no doubt, once all six sticks have been used, I will be sending for more! Having read the information you provide, about the "damage" that petroleum jelly based lip salves can do, I shall never use an "ordinary" lip balm again!

Your shea butter lip balm is super. Until I read your explanation I never realized why regular lip balm (petroleum based) doesn't work very well. I received my Karite Gold almost 2 weeks ago, and from the VERY first time I used it, I knew it was not like facial products I have used in the past.
